Finished my Portland info sheet. A map may come later, for now I’m still trying to compile a list of my favorite places. Keep in mind this isn’t as much as a list of the best things to do in Portland, but a list of the best of what I’ve experienced. There’s a lot missing, but I’ll update this as I remember things I’ve done and places I’ve been and have new experiences.

I saw this yesterday and now I am in love with Holly’s work.

I have a piece included in the current exhibition Emerging: New Photography Acquisitions at the Portland Art Museum. March 10-June 24, 2012. Portland Art Museum Curator of Photography, Julia Dolan, writes “Portland-based photographer Holly Andres’s series Sparrow Lane, whose images evoke such wide-ranging sources as Nancy Drew and Alfred Hitchcock, depicts adolescent girls on the verge of actual and allegorical discoveries. In The Glowing Drawer, curious young women move warily toward a cupboard, innocently unleashing the unknown.”
